So i built my heat treating oven a while back and it has worked great but a few issues i need to address.
First is i need to weld a new frame now that i am better at welding. I also need to paint the frame so it doesnt get all rusty.
Aside from that, i have trouble with the coil staples coming out. They went a little over an inch deep and it just isnt enough to hold them. I also feel that since the bricks are just stacked in place and can move around that that may cause staples to work loose when i move the oven and the bricks jostle a bit.
So what is a good refactory cement to use that comes in a small, reasonably priced, quantity? Also, just how deep should the staples be? Is there a better system of keeping the coil from going all wonky than using staples?
