Reccomend me an Emerson!

I think the 7 makes a great intro Emerson. Especially one that is waved. The mini commander is great for DL edc and the journeyman is an awesome larger knife. The gentleman Jim is sleek and looks cool and the horseman is a great knife in a little package. A100 is a classic straightforward pocket knife and the gypsy jack is big and crazy looking....

.....I guess I'm saying just get one man, you'll be happy:D

If you want a smaller EDC, check out the Specwar. I just got one... nice size, still great egos. Won't scare as many sheeple.

Nah. Just regular pocket carry, I love overbuilt knives

Sounds like you're talking about general everyday usage. I used to tell folks to pick one of the 15s, and I still say they'd be great choices. But since I got a micro-Commander a couple of weeks ago, I've gotten really fond of it. And I haven't run into anything that I couldn't do with that recurve blade. That was my big hold up for a while. Even the micro is a fairly serious recurve and I wasn't sure how I'd like that... but it really works well for slicing, especially things like zip ties, box strapping, and computer cabling. That's most of my cutting at work and the recurve makes it a bit easier to cut, I think, than a straight edge. Also, I have had no problems piercing things with the tip of the micro-Commander, another worry that I had.

So my recommendations are for either a mini-15 or a mini-Commander. Or the full-sized versions of either one.

I recently received a well used and abused mini cqc-7 circa 2004.
For being a "mini", I actually get a very comfortable 4-finger grip on the handle and if it weren't for my cqc-10, it might well be my favorite Emerson....

...except for the 7, horseman, commander, GJ, socfk, super commander, a-100....
