Reccomendation- Rubust but pocketable EDC

Thanks for all the replays.
I have considered the Gayle Bradley, but the one thing that can't get over that I now think I shoud have put in my criteria is that it dosent really have much traction, especially when it comes to a finger guard. So, another criteria to put in is that the knife must have decent grip, but I am not anal about it as someone like Nutnfancy is; as long as it can stay in my hand when I really need it and dosen't have the risk that my fingers could slip onto the edge I am fine

i have been aware since before i posted this that the PM2 was likely the winner, but you just can't get one nowadays.

Not sure if you have seen this thread but I think you should at least look it over before dismissing the Gayle Bradley: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/714931-Gayle-Bradley-Hard-Use

Start a thread in the want to buy forum for a para 2. That's what I did and within 1 day I had 2 members contact me with very reasonable offers for nib pm2's. Much, much lower than the outrageous eBay prices.

Bradley Alias or Spyderco Gayle Bradley get my vote.
Spyderco Manix 2 now comes in s30v and would fit all of your criteria as well(well, besides the deep carry clip).
Not super thick, great ergos, s30v steel, USA made, G-10 handles, strong lock, 5oz exactly, and around $90.

I second the recommendation for a Blur. I have the S30V instead of the CF154 but either should be a good option. Of course it's a liner lock with an aluminum handle and no deep carry clip but it does meet your "must have" criteria. If you happen to be left handed you might find the carry options a little lacking but if you're right handed you'll be fine. Overall it's a great knife; buying my first Blur was pretty much the start of my knife addiction.

Kershaw CF154 Blur. CPM-154 is fantastic, the egos are great, and it's smooth and slim.

You're welcome.

I didn't know that existed on BladeForums, I will have to check that out.

The lack of a choil is of some concern to me too so I really don't use mine for anything I'd call "hard use." Before I got mine I thought it looked kind of weird too but it looks a lot better to me in real life than it does in pictures.

I have always known that M4 is a very good steel and I would like a knife in it. I am not dismissing the GB, it just isn't as high as others because of he lack of ny choil and that in my opinion it looks kind of wired.
