Receding hairline any success stopping it?

A bald spot is nothing more than a solar panel for a looooove machine. ;)

Nothing that can be done long term really. Propecia, Rogaine...just holds of the inevitable.

The solution? If you're concerned about appearance, redirect your energies. Meaning you can be bald, but you can also be fit. Sure Vin Diesel, etc are what women consider "hot bald men" but thats more to do with their physique as opposed to what's missing off the top of their head.

It sucks to lose hair. Fight back by getting your abs, arms, chest, etc in order.

I did the Rogaine thing about 15 years ago and after 6 months I realized I was basically just throwing money down the drain, so I said to hell with it and just buzzed my hair. It was one of the most freeing experiences ever. I no longer worried about losing my hair, and I used the money I saved on haircuts to buy knives. :D

Hi :)

I am 38 and in the last 2 years my hair started to go from the front.

(:grumpy:Frontal )

Anyone been successful in stopping or regrowing frontal hair loss?

Most men don't realise a receding hairline will stop all by itself...when it reaches the back of your neck

What do you call a bunch of rabbits dancing backwards?

A receding hare line. :p

Anyway, here's a solution.

I believe they call this a Select Cut.:D
I had no idea that Donald was once a Logger.:D

Never really cared. I had a wave - waved good bye. It happens - my mum kept trying to get me to use meds and I hasn't really been a problem. Other than her no one has commented.

As for my brother, Curley hair, huge bald spot in centre and no receding hairline:- that's crusty the clown and he still won't clipper.

I wonder about this. Isn't this issue hereditary from your mother's father? My mother's father is almost 90 and has a full head of hair.

I, on the other hand, have always had thinner hair, with a hair line that looks like it's receding, but it's not. In the Army, I got a pretty severe sun burn on the top of my head one time. Also, I shaved my head the entire time and used to run around without a cover sometimes. I think this did damage, because now, my hair is pretty thin on the exact spot.

I keep it pretty short, #1 on the sides and back, and 3/4" on the top. I don't know if that helps hide the thin hair or makes it more visible. I care about the thin hair just a tiny bit, but not too much. If it gets to where it looks stupid, I'll shave my head. I'm not going to be one of those guys running around with clown hair...that's ridiculous looking.

So, I agree, just shave your head. You don't have use a razor.

A beard trimmer gives nice close cut. You could also grow a goatee or swept back goatee, which is what I usually wear. That goes well with a shaved head. I don't really care what other people think, but I always try to have a neat appearance. Clean, ironed clothes that match, clean shoes w/ matching belt, neat hair and trimmed beard/goatee do make you feel good about yourself, I don't care what anyone says. Add a nice EDC knife, and you're good to go.

Buzz Cut it's going to be Summer. :D

I'd tell ya something to really worry about but Ken C would rightly so kick my butt across the Forums for posting Political here. See. Now, there's something to worry about. :)

That's if I don't get you first.

That's what they'd like you to believe. There aren't any bald people on my mother's side of the family as far back as we can trace them. Dad's side of the family has a lot of baldness. Go figure.

Just do what I do. Tell yourself grass don't grow on no playground.

This is actually quite a good era in which to go bald ,as I see lots of young guys with full heads of hair who actually choose to shave their head because they like the look.
I was 35 when I really started to go bald and I have to say that it was a heartbreak for me. I was 14 when the Beatles and the Stones came on the scene and I immediately grew my hair long and, in fact ,long hair defined ,in my mind, who I was, so going bald was quite traumatic.
I used Rogaine for years but I doubt if it helped . It was quite expensive and after about 5 years I stopped in disgust. I also seriously considered getting a transplant. I talked to a doctor who said I was a good candidate and that he could fix me up for about $6000. This was back in 1983 so I would guess the cost is quite a bit more now but I don't really know.
Anyway, I finally just shaved my head and it was a great move. I stopped thinking of myself as bald and soon began to like the look. It's weird, but when I see a guy with a fringe of hair around a bald crown, I think of him as a bald guy but in my mind, I'm not. I also think how much better the guy would look if he shaved his head as well.
Luckily time does heal the pain of going bald and I haven't mourned my hair loss for years [I'm now 62]
I just wish they would up with a product that would allow me to permanently remove the remaining hair I have, so I wouldn't have to shave my head every second day. [I quess the real vain guys shave their head every morning]

Shave your head and grow a beard.

B-slap your mom for giving you bad genes--j/k Baldness can be traced down the female bloodline--sperm isn't large enough to carry that particular gene----carried by the female---shows up in the male offspring-----your father had nothing to do with it.

Now get over yourself and be happy who you are---baldness has nothing to do with attracting women----personality--status(money)--and self confidence are far more important.
