Receive email notifications?

That notice that's been stuck all over the site, since the update (?) - the linked thread addresses the various problems people are encountering. As it happens, email notifications are one of them. Check it out:thumbsup:
 
In the same boat. Rarely receive email notifications anymore for new threads on watched subs, and when I do it is several hours after the thread was posted (i.e., it is useless).
 
Verizon owns yahoo now, which is why it's having the same problems as yahoo
 
Can I change my email address from Yahoo to Gmail to receive timely email notifications from watched threads?
 
Hi. Is there anything on the horizon that will fix the problem which the transition caused so that some e-mail providers no longer forward email notifications from this site (I still get them from other sites)? If not, is gmail working? And if gmail works, is there any reason that I couldn't switch my email address to a gmail address for this website. TIA!!!
