Received a Hell Razor today. (pics)

Less expensive than what? So if it performs better w/o the coating why does Busse put a coating on the blade? Is it just for looks, becuase I thought these knives are all about performance.

Less expensive than ordering a Satin Finish which isn't available. I think the coating is like putting camoflauge on an H1 hummer. Doesn't need it, but sure looks cool. Probably helps keep costs down as not many people would want to spend the extra $$$ on a polished busse. Plus the infi dimples, so you'd have to grind those out. Just my thoughts.

Congrats JurT, nice pics

Congrats koli, it will probably not be your last Busse :D

I agree.
The only reason I see for coating a blade is corrosion protection, carmoflage/combat or cost.
If you ever polished a Busse you know why Satin Finish or Double Cut Finish cost some extra $$$.
I certainly would prefer to pay the extra $$$ because coated blades loose there prettiness fast when using.
An uncoated blade can always be relative easily restored to look like new.

Absolutely, I started working out some of the grind marks. I can't stop polishing. It takes forever by hand and I think the dust gets into your bloodstream. I'm jonesing for INFI and have the shakes just writing about it.;) :D
