It's the most beautiful blade I have seen in my life. It's everything I could have wanted and more. Beautiful craftsmanship on the sheath, blade, everything. Thank you very much Auntie Yangdu for this blade and to the Kami who made it. The Kami marks I see are a U.B and on the other side a Sun with 7-8 points. Any idea who it is? A true masterpiece.

Lachhu is the Kami. Congratulations on that beauty. Love to see pics! Same Kami as Brogans M43.

The UB is on all khukuri made after 2005 in honor of the late Uncle Bill Martino.
Hard to tell kami mark without a picture. Please post a pic of the left side of your khukuri near the bolster.
The full sun with 8 rays (similar to the new mexico star) is the Birghorka mark.

I have the pictures but don't know how to upload it to the web. How do you guys do it? I'm on a mobile if that makes a difference

Use photobucket, imageshack or Imgur. Upload the picture there and copy/paste the url into your post.

Ahh okay. I'll go make an imgur account

Wow that made good time even compared to Auntie's usual USPS worm-hole shipping. I am glad that it got there safe and that you sound quite happy with the choice you made for this blade. I do hope it continues to serve you well.

From the sounds of what I think I read into your post you are now infected. HIKV is for life and unfortunately it seems that you have the symptoms of a moderate case. You can expect additional symptoms to show up soon. An uncomfortable feeling when you can't see or touch an HI Khuk. nervous sweating when you haven't won a DotD in a while. A feeling of dread when your monthly paypal statement shows up because that is when you realize just how many khuks you ordered that month...
There are others but you will figure them out yourself.

When you're seriously infected, your wallet organ withers up and dies a slow painfully exquisite death, the only preventative treatment is regular infusions of rich green benjamins plasma......

I most definitely am infected lol. Here's an image of the left side (I think)

Will post a full image as well. Took it out to clear some vines and tall weeds. It was like a slash of wind and just went through everything.

That looks like a Gelbu Special to me, not a Chitlangi. From what I've seen on the forum, a 21" Gelbu is less common than a 21" Chitlangi, and possibly a slightly more robust blade.

Ahh cool. Yes I noticed it is quite a robust blade here is the spine

congratulation it arrives safe at home. CubeLW , the thickness of the overall blade is!

Looks like a Gelbu to me as well. Chitlangi usually is more ornate and has a thinner edge and one more fuller. You got a very fine blade there!

swing with the wind please!
ndoghouse,
I'm not a high post user 655 Just don't know the the different between GS

I'm interested to know more about the kami who made your khukuri. I have an 18" WWII with the same marks, except mine are done in dots, and I've been curious to find out more.

Very nice khuk you got there, enjoy it but there will be more and more as you get infected.....

Lachhu is the Kami.

ndog says it's Lachhu, and I'll take his word on it. According to some previous information from Yangdu, Lachhu started working for HI about 13 years ago, and was Bura's helper.

Lachhu Kami...has been working for Birgorkha and perfecting
his craft for more than 10 years. [written 3 years ago]

In the "good old days," he worked as Bura Master's Kami helper. The Master
Kami trained him very well and now he makes an outstanding knife for HI's
forumites...

Oh, I missed that. Thanks for pointing that out, and for the information.
