Received RP knife!

Have received the Rat Pack knife today.

It is a great knife and I was so very happy to see it in the mail.

Thank you Kathy, thank you RC!!

I am still out on the fence if I am going to use it or to keep it brand new or to use it... :confused:

Received the RAT Pack Knife!! What the...? Oh, Canada. Looking for the other RAT Pack knife info to come back up.
 
Congrats on your new RAT Pack knife! When I got mine I thought for sure that I'd put it through some hard work, but I've ended up not wanting to use it. So she's ended up being a beauty queen.
 
Am I kidding myself when I think she'd be both a worker RAT and beauty queen RAT? Sexy curves of the worn blade, bark and dirt rubbed all over the sleek lines of the orange handle...oh, yeah!

Ok, here is my view on it so far. This is my first RC-3. The more I look at the blade geometry and proportions - the more I think that it is a perfect knife.

There is no way I can resist using it. It is not going to be a safe queen.
 
They are made for using. Besides, they really are too damn ugly to be a safe queen. Anybody who thinks the forum knife (or any RATCutlery blade) is pretty has a screw loose...Or at least you need to go look at the maker's section and see what beauty is about...No slam on Rat because IMO they make a great, functional utility blade. I think its fair to say that they never tried to make anything other than that....

BTW - the forum knife is one of the best users in the line-up. The RC-3 is just a mean as hell slicer and tough as nails do everything you want a small knife to do knife.

There maybe more than a few screws loose on this page, maybe one burger short of a Happy Meal but I say use the knife right out of the box and if funding is available purchase a second one that you can display or talk dirty to it late at night.
 
the beauty is in the eyes of beholder - I looked at many knives over the years and to me function is the best look. With this respect - RP knife is a thing of beauty.
