Howdy folks-

I guess when I get a comfy knife, I get the urge to cut and carve! I have already expounded a little too much on the pipe, but here are a couple of others I cranked out tonight with the Brian Andrews bushcrafter. A simple spoon (I jacked up the handle a bit, it's too thin) and a copy of one of those awesome spork-things that MtnfolkMike has.

And here's me the morning after my last final exam (I passed every damn class too! Hell of a semester.) :D

great stuff Spooky, Good callon the spork I forgot about that I might have to try one of those myself...

those carvings look great  those sporks that mtnfolk mike has are pretty cool, you did a pretty good imitation. congrats on the passing of the exams. i took my last ones today, but the highschool ones arent nearly as strenuous i would imagine. i am in a few college level classes also, and those exams were considerably more difficult. but, there is no better way to relax after a final than a bit of wood carving.

Nice stuff Spooky. Ha - I just gave out my final exam today. I had this one girl come in prepared for a hurricane. She plopped a bottle of Jolt, bottle of gatorade and bottle of water on her desk. Also had a big stack of candies. About forty pencils and this giant eraser. She proceeded to use up about half of the giant eraser during the exam. I was very amused but at the same time, worried that she would pull out a siltarp and ask for more time. Yeah - she stayed the whole damn 3 hrs even though everyone left 2 h after the start. Now I have 50 short answer/essay exams to mark :(

Congrats on passing all your courses!!

Love the pipe, man!
The other stuff is cool too but the pipe is especially cool.
How did you bore the hole in the stem - split it, trough it and bind it back together?

Congrats on the exams.:thumbup::thumbup:

I was convinced 'til the last pic.

Spooky? not really. You could use a date with a razor and a hair brush though. :D All in good fun of course. I look like I've been draged through ten miles of thumb tacks and broken glass in the morning.

Congrats on the finals.

Thanks guys! These were a lot of fun. Gonna take the spork camping next time and see how well it works. It was a really quick carve, too.

Jeff- You nailed it on the pipe! Split and trough, coal burning combined with bowdrill+sand to get the bowl. Works great, too!

The finals were the second to the last I'll ever have to take! I've got a bachelors, this is my third year of pharmacy school (half way done too!!!!!).

great stuff Will... i love those sporks...:D they came out great...

congrats on passing all of your exams too...:thumbup:

Great job brainiac. Nice carving, and awesome that you get a break now. That is always nice!!

Those look great. I think I'm gonna have to break down and copy your copy of Mike's sporks. (that was confusing)
