Recent opinions on the GB2?

I love my GB2 - mine is a user knife, but it is also kinda fancy. I put a deep carry on it, and think that serves it well. The GB2 is a good balance between an 'office' knife and an 'outdoor' knife.

Handle is comfortable. Proud liners are crowned and polished along the exposed edges.
I haven't tried the GB1 myself, but I really like the GB2's handle design. I call it grip-agnostic (quite un-Spyderco in that regard). The s-curve spine rides your thenar eminence just so. The finger choil is light and accepts anything you brace against it with (forefinger, middle finger, thumb). I wouldn't thrust-stab with this, but it would be way worse on the GB1.

If you're familiar with Benchmade's Griptilian, 940 handles, you'll have a good idea how this feels.

Hole size is not really a problem unless you prefer to stick your whole thumb in it. All you need is purchase along the top edge.

Are the liners really crowned on the GB2? One of my gripes with the GB1 was the liners were really sharp and grabby.

Both GB's have always been a great value. A lot of knife for the money. Haven't owned a GB2 but looks like a solid knife. Probably easier on the carry side of things.

Subtly, yes. Might just be a function of being polished, but they feel lightly rounded on mine.

I don't feel any discomfort from the liners of my GB2. I think this is a lesson learned from GB1.
