recent purchase at ECCKS with photos

hey guys sorry for all the previous posts but I finally figured out how to post photos...so here there are of a recent knife I bought from Herb Derr at the east coast custom knife show. I think his work is amazing and his prices are also.

Four threads for the same knife. No offensive title this time, just an implied dirty word. I guess that is progress?
 
But the knife looks very cool, I really like it. I always go "gaga" when I see copper weave pattern on Damascus blades.
 
How does a "copper weave pattern" cut? At first blush, it would seem copper is not hard enough for a knife blade.

I am no master but I think you are right, copper is not a good metal for blades. Consider it more of an at piece then a useable knife also the blade is blued which makes it no good for food use. The maker assured me I could use it to cut things but I don't think it is going to see any action...just a show piece
