Recipe using my HT'g relish

I was thinking ( I know scary:eek: ) for Bird Day how to work my HT'g Relish into the menu.

  1. HT relish and cranberry sauce
  2. Stuffing make two batches the other one so everyone else can have some
  3. HT relish and squash pie.
Any other ideas guys?????

I have a new one I just did this weekend.

HT Buffalo Wings

one stick of butter
one cup of tabasco or hot sauce
one teaspoon of SMOKED HT Relish
one minced clove of garlic

-Melt the buttar and add the garlic to saute a bit.
-Add the relish when butter is completely melted and teh garlic has had a chance to soften a bit.
-add the hot sauce.
-take it off the heat and whisk until everything is emulsified.

Cook your wings. I like deepfryer for this. When done, coat wings with mixture and enjoy.

For the record, I'm not able to eat the relish straight, and therefore use it as a flavoring and extra "kick" to certain things, but my son and I both agreed the recipe could have been a somewhat hotter for our liking. I think next time I'll go for a rounded tablespoon of the relish, but this recipe will get you off the ground if you are looking for buffalo wings with some really great flavor to them.

Can you catch crawdads with the stuff? In your case George, do lobsters find it irresistable?

I aint even going to sign this one:) :)

I put the relish in the melted butter. Then dip the lobster meat in it. Sounds like a plan for this weekend. Getting tried of turkey.OH!!! Baby!!!!
I got some pickled eggs this weekend and mixed some mustard. celery salt and relish then spread it all over the egg. A feast fit for a King. HEHEHEHE!!! It sure goes really good with beer (relish and eggs). Boy!!! Do I get Fart City after that. Even the dogs leave the room.:barf: :barf: :D HEHEHEHE!!!

Used the HT relish in some homemade chili last night....Tried to be conservative with it so everyone could eat it....I failed.....Damn that stuff is hot!!! I Love IT!!!
  1. 2 lb ground chuck
  2. 2 Qt. crushed tomatos
  3. 3 jalapeno peppers (fresh)
  4. 2 cans of beans (your favorite)
  5. chili powder to taste
  6. salt & pepper to taste
  7. minced garlic to taste
  8. sweet basil to taste
  9. ground sage to taste
  10. 1/2 cup ketchup
  11. 1 cup chopped onion
  12. HT relish (as much as you dare)
brown ground meat and add the salt & pepper, sage & basil, onion, and peppers in the meat as you cook it....when done pour off excess grease if there is any...add remaining items to meat and let simmer for about 2 or 3 hours or until you think its done...remember to keep it stirred or it will stick to the pot...serve as is or with rice if you like....hope you enjoy!!!

Jim; I make it almost the same but instead of ketchup I put in a can of tomato sauce and oregano instead of sage.

That's what I like about cooking, a few changes here and there can make every dish your own!!! I had some again tonight:eek: chili is always better the next day....until the second burning    I only use ketchup because it's easy, kinda like this girl I used to know....:D
