Recomend me a bait knife for prawns

I think you should reconsider a serrated spyderco.. They usually have a nice portion of plain edge at the tip that is very usable for precision work!!!

+1 on a salt model as I have heard H1 serrated edges are super tough!! Around 68rc if I'm not mistaken!!!

Okay, maybe not. I just found this on their site.

Only quality steel x50CR MO composition with a Rockwell hardness of 55-56 HRC for high edge retention. I was thinking they did a super hard heat treat on a thin blade for slicing.

:)

55-56 RC isn't exactly impressive, relatively speaking. CTS-XHP is marketed as a stainless version of D2. That's great edge retention with corrosion resistance but not a lot of knives use that steel.

H-1 in the Salt knives get very hard but that doesn't equate to high edge retention in PE. The SE is a different story. I personally think the PE is absolutely adequate but a lot of people assume "less" is crap.

Spyderco Chokwe would be my recommendation. Very nice long and thin s30v flat ground blade for excellent slicing with a good tip for piercing. Very open build for easy cleaning and drying. Very utilitarian ergonomics. Also, these seem to be floating around online for pretty cheap considering the materials.

I'd vote for the Mora.
Inexpensive, and you can get 2 or 3 to see what you like or don't like. If you lose one, drop one in, have a fishing buddy who breaks it, or don't like it, you haven't spent a fortune.

But that's just me.
