Recommend a Beater/EDC Fixed Blade

My beater edc that I carry for work and abuse pretty much on a daily basis is a schrade schf14. I got mine for only $30 and have been carrying it for about 6 months now and haven't had an issue. It takes a great edge and holds it well.

Obviously it isn't the best steel or the best knife out there, but for a $30 beater knife it works great, plus it's pretty durable. It's withstood things that i have broken several Gerbers doing. Plus at only $30 I don't hesitate to use it for things it was never meant to do.

It also comes factory with a nice lil kydex sheath. It's slim and can easily slip into your pocket or wear it on a belt.

Maybe bigger, but an ESEE 3 or RAT 3 by Ontario if you want a good tough knife.

Becker BK14 (pictured with aftermarket wood scales), Becker BK 11 or 24, or Izula and Izula II.

Esee Izula is a great hard use bush type blade. However if you plan to use the blade as a general purpose blade go with something like a H&k dispatch. D2 steel and made in the USA. The perfect size for most tasks and feels like an extension of your body when being handled. If that's too much knife look at the H&k snoody.

Another vote for the Patriot. Although the Izula II is a great knife as well.
