The big case bowie has a full tang with scales.

Very cool thankyou. Now that really makes me want to get one because I do not have a larger knife to fill the roll of a Bowie knife and its calling out to me. That and I really like the way it looks and if I bought I'm definitely going to use it. I like the new larger Kabar but with that much blade out front I think any knife in this size category should be a full tang and not a stick tang.

For the money I don't think you could go wrong with the Ontario Sp10 but it will need a good sharpening/reprofiling out of the box.
