Recommend a cigar for me

... Remember that smoking a cigar is not a casual thing, or rather it shouldn't be. Seclude yourself, turn your phone off, don't be bothered. Then take your time when smoking, and allow yourself to enjoy one of life's pleasure, the good life.

Great advice.

Nice sigline also. I've got a shirt at home with that on it. I wear it just once a year.

If not a Monte no. 2, then go for a FFOX either a Double Corona, No. 2 or Petite Lancero , rare but a FANTASTIC smoke. Full bodied, lots of flavor and well worth the $.

Don Tomas and Rocky Patels are great. I just smoked a Cubita for the first time and thought it was pretty good ;)

When you guys say Montecristo are you talking about the Cubans? I haven't had the dominicans yet.....for some reason....for me at least, it would be like buying an Mtech that said Busse on it and looked just like one....just doesn't have the heart :p living 20 minutes from Mexico has its perks....I have a coworker that lives in TJ who helps me out with some Cubans from time to time :D

Any Romeo is especially good if youre new to cigars. I would have to agree. Another brand in general that I have found very nice is Punch. Stay away from Maduros they can make your head spin if your new to cigars!

I will caution anyone who is not a regular cigar smoker: Avoid Criollo wrapper!

Not b/c it's strange flavored - I don't care for it, but it's fine.

Not b/c it's huge nicotine level that will make you pass out in your own puke. It's fine.

Because the room-aroma smells heavily of yer undershorts after a week on the Appalachian trail. BLEECH!
try dipping your underware in propylene glycol to humidify your cigars.

.

Thanks for the comments folks. I'll take a trip into town this weekend and see what I can find. Maybe pick up a selection from the ones mentioned.

Yeah, I agree with that one. That's the sort of thing I'm thinking; sat on a hillside, just chilling out and enjoying the view with a scotch and a cigar. No distractions; none of life's annoyances to spoil the moment; just sheer pleasure. Living, rather than just surviving which seems to make up a lot of my (working) day!
