Recommend a knife $400-600

Grayman Dua, Strider SnG, XM-18 3" or 3.5, Sebenza 21? If you haven't ever heard of Jim Skelton, you should check out his videos on YouTube. He has tons of videos on mostly custom knives in a very broad price range.

A custom maker which I (eventually) plan to order from is Kramer Custom Knives. I believe his folders start at $550, and go up from there depending on what materials and such you add. Check out Skelton's review of his Reaper custom.

Hey everyone,

Just recently I picked up my grail knife of a few years, a Medford praetorian, but quickly have realized this is a strictly day off carry. It is far too menacing to be used in my suburban, work environment. I am looking for something in the 3-3.5" length and would like some sort of titanium. Has to be a light to medium carry. I have sort of passed my flipper phase so recommend flippers of you'd like and I will consider them, but I'd rather have a manual.

I like cpm154, d2, s35 s30 etc. I have tried lots of production brands in this $400-600 price range but have not had my eyes opened to the custom and midtech world at that price range.

Thanks in advance and any suggestions are welcome.

I d skip production and look surely into custom made knifes for this price range...Especialy if you seek something small, possibilities are endless here...

How about Jason Guthrie's Ranger, great looking knife with M390 steel, full custom,I believe is 3.9" blade.Ordered mine recently with orange G-10.I believe is in your price range.

If you can find one...

I don't care what anyone says, Tim Galyean makes the best flippers on Earth.

I know this is not uncommon, but I recently acquired a Sebenza 25 after years of ignoring the CRK brand, and really like it. Pick one up here on the sales forum, and try it for yourself.

Perhaps a William Henry?

Les George Talos, Les George VECP, Hinderer XM-18 (non flipper), Kingdom Armory Mini Samaratin, A folder by Aaron Frederick (Books are opened last I checked), Alan Folts knives, Bob Dozier Workhorse, Chad Nell Templar...

There's alot of Customs out there that fit the bill, just gotta look...

If you want less threatening, try an Alan Davis folder. He lists knives on here from time to time and they don't last long. I have a couple and they are amazing. Do a search on here and prepare yourself... Russ

Well, after all these suggestions, I think I actually want to go with an adv pathfinder if Andre can make it. I'm thinking blue and gold, purple and gold or just plain gold. Thanks for the great suggestions and keeping it mature. Now I just gotta sell my Medford :p

If you really like the El Patron from Calavera Cutlery I saw one on GP knives and I think Howes knife shop has some in. They around $7-750 and they are full customs.
