Recommend: a "last ditch" small fixed blade (neck?) knife

I love my Izulas (yes, I have more than one) but it would not be my first choice for a last ditch knife. I would want something with a more secure grip.

I would save up for a LaGriffe or Swick.

Im getting the Kabar Becker Necker so I kind of dont need a RAT Izula

You'll get one though :). I bought the Necker first and then bought an Izula. I've been carrying the izula for 6 months. The Necker is in my truck.

If my budget permitted, I would get a Hide Away Knife, the Emerson La Griffe, or a F. Perrin Neck Bowie. And the Spyderco Swick wouldnt be a bad choice but without a sheath, it kind of makes it a deal breaker, and getting a custom one made aint exactly cheap.

The CRKT Bear Claw and Triumph NECK doesnt really appeal to me. The Mercharness is pretty cool though.

Yeah, a lot of guys here prefer the Izula over the Becker Necker, and eventually get one or both. I already have a Becker Necker so we'll see what happens..

I think Im going to go with the Boker MA-2. Its fairly small, thin, and lightweight, plus it looks like it offers a great grip. At $25 I dont think it'll hurt too much if I dont like it.

I have a few HAKs that I bought 2 years ago. FANTASTIC design. I wore one for a bit behind my mag pouch, but there is absolutely no alternative to the LaGriffe. I have had one strapped to my vest while on duty for 5 years now. There is no other

I like the fallkniven WM1,but thanks to Pict on W&SS,I got a hankerin' for a Livesay NRGS

Both of these makers are on BF and with a little searching, you can check out some their designs. They make them out of D2 (Fairall) and, I believe, JT used O1 on mine. Good luck.

Oh, this Bokers handle is a direct copie of the Tether knifes handle made by Benchmade (Elishewitz design i suppose). I wouldn´t buy that.

get a crkt minimalist bowie or keramin.... I have to bowie and it is awesome...You can stab with it all day long and it will not slip. plus the sheath is nice and small so you can hide it on your hip behind your belt
