How about the Magpul Rigger?

So many great ideas here, thank you for the contributions.

After some thought I decided to go way over budget and pick up the Grigorev custom that originally caught my eye.

This knife just stands out with the perfect balance of simplicity and sci-fi character that I was looking for. In the hand it's very impressive... and unbelievably light due to some extensive hidden milling of the frame.

There are so many great options in this thread for when the time comes to add a second modern folder to my collection. I'd probably go with something a bit smaller, on washers, no flipper, to complement the Grigorev.

Two other good ones-

Pena Mula. Nothing super unique in the design but nothing that stands out as wrong either... which seems like the most important criteria to me. So many of the Shirogorovs for instance look amazing yet have some weird details that throw me off.

Gareth Bull Miura. Love the Shamwari that was recommended too but this one takes the cake with the enamel/bakelite-looking color contrast of the grips.... just gorgeous.

Not sure of the exact model on any of these.

Still can't get over how interesting this one is.

If you are just going to collect, probably don't buy something designed to see daily heavy use. Maybe some unique wood scales or rare anodized color scheme
IMO
