I am looking for a leather non pouch style sheath for a DP Outdoorsman I just received. I know of some good makers but they have really long backlogs. Does anyone know of a maker that could make me a sheath within a month?

Something like this?

If you change your mind about the poutch, here's my DP Outdoorsman in one with a deer skinliner that fits super tight.

Il bruche is good.

Leatherface is good.

Leatherman is a master.

Sandy Morrissey is a God.

Those are all great recommendations; you might also consider Martin Swinkels, he makes a fine pouch with a restraining strap. He's relatively new so his backlog might not be so long. He has several threads over in the "Sheaths & Such" forum.

Martin lives in the Netherlands. Transit time kinda kills the under a month thing right there. But a good choice none the less.

I like Martin's work, and the fact that he lines his sheaths with kydex for great retention. The only down side is that because of shipping charges, the sheath may cost the same as the knife...

Il Bruche gets my vote... Hes done a bunch of work for me, and its all great.

That's not because of shipping charges mate ;)
&.. What knife are you talking about?

Yes, I (and I'm sure others also) sometimes do sheaths that cost 3 or 4 times the money of the blade..
But if you measure the blade by what it costed.. Some rather judge the value of a knife .. regardless of the cost .. I like that..
The no compromise thought!

That said.. All makers mentioned will give you a sheath you'll love..
But don't say my shipping costs are high because they are not ..

Have a Nice Day

Ilbruche all the way for beautiful craftsmanship and reasonable prices. Turn around time for me has been well under a month. He is just finishing a DP knife sheath for me.

Paul Long, TX.

Top of his game and about a one week turn-a-round.
