Recommend a Tough & Cool Folder

ZT are definitely someething to look at. I ordered a 302 but it's going back. I did not think it would be much heavier in the pocket than my Rukus but it's a bit too tankish.

that extrema ratio dark talon is definatley the bees knees.

Well nuts...

Y'know, last night it seemed like a perfectly good idea to ask for opinions about knives. Where's the harm in that, right? I pretty much had my mind made up but I just wanted to see if there might be soemthing else out there I would like. And there was... In fact there may be a dozen or so somethings I now NEED. Great... Now I have a list and the wife is going to be none to pleased about it. Oh well, she'll get over it... probably... :D

But seriously, thanks for all the great recommendations. I'm just getting into knife collecting and this thread has some awesome examples of what's out there. Keep the ideas coming and I'll keep my bank account empty!

I justgot the Jim Hammond cruiser, not the dessert, today seems like a super sturdy and strong knife. I am a semi-crkt person, most of their knives are so-soat best but the cruiser seem pretty good.

I consider my ZT 301 to be both tough and cool. Grippy, smooth, and built like a tank. :D I'll post a pic later tonight.

So much of buying knives is personal taste and, to me, the BFs are vastly undersized and overpriced. I'm also very amused when marketing descriptions say things like: "This series of 'full size' folding knives are suitable for professional use by the military or police." Actually, the same could be said for dozens of far less expensive, and much more effective knives. Fortunately for you, these are undoubtedly decent knives with stubby little blades and sturdy locks, so if it grabs you, go for it. My preference has always been for larger blades. Most cops I know like Spyderco Militarys, but there are many others that would do just as well for tactical use.
