  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Then you and I are fundamentally different . . . There is more than one company out there that make fine products, but I choose not so support them based on my opinion of the owner or the companies practices / policies in general . . .

 You're not alone with wanting to vote with your dollars. Furthermore, if ownership of any good causes you unease when you think about where your money went, then the purchase actually decreases your happiness (in the sense of the economic term equivalent to "welfare"), which is the opposite of what the interaction was intended to produce. So, buying from CS doesn't make you happy. Better to know that now than to stare at a hunk of steel and wood and not be happy with your purchase, for any reason, especially political. A lot of people don't buy from CS not because of LT's politics but because they can't stand his incessant hucksterism. Whatever the reasoning for any voting with your dollars on any good or service from any company,

Edit: In the interest of full disclosure, I love my CS Plainsman's Hawk. I thought the Voyager was a good pocketknife until it was lifted by a relative. I liked my Trailmaster but sold it to someone who couldn't live without it.

ya, maybe politics wasn't exactly the right wording. I don't know what LT's politics are in terms of democrat / republican, and I don't care. It's more that everything that I have seen of him, makes me think that he is a huge douche and does a disservice to the knife industry in general with his mall ninja advertising. I just don't like him, so I choose not to by from him.

See post #20 above.

Also, just for reference,I contacted them through email and H&B is running a back log of about 6-8 weeks right now. Apparently they have had a huge increase in orders over the last year. The email said that they are currently re-building their forge three times a year, and that Jarrod is working 100 hour weeks to try and fill orders right now, and they are still out a couple months.
