Recommend Me a Flashlight

I'm starting to feel like I might be turning into a flashlight nut. This could pose some serious problems with my knife budget! :D

The sh#tty part is you'll also need a bag to carrying them all in, then a.... so whatever you do stay away from the EDCforums nutjobs. :D

I must admit here, there, and candlepower really put me on the right track with knives, gear, lights.

Like my wife says about her clothes...I actually saved money by finding the best gear the first time around!

I'd have to agree with that. It's really worth the time/money to find the right gear so that you know that you are buying a good product that will hold up.

I'd buy a P1 too if it started on the highest lumens.

Not to add to your new found addiction.......

Try the Fenix P2D - either the Q5 or the RB100 - both are $60 shipped from the Fenix-Store.
Single CR123A with the same interface as the P3D -
ie: in Turbo mode will turn On at Max brightness.

The beauty of the P2D head is that it is interchangeable (actually the same) as the L2D and L1D - so one can buy just the L2D or L1D bodies and in effect get 2 other flashlights to run on 2xAA and 1x AA respectively.......
the only word of note is that although the heads are interchanageable - the tailcaps are not between the "L" and "P" series - so if you intend to get just one of the bodies get it with the tailcap.....

Or better yet - if a Q5 version is desired - get this combination of the P2D-Q5 with L1D body and tailcap

I have a fenix P2D Q5, im very impressed with it especially for the low price. Its been my EDC for about a month now. Very bright, small and easy to carry.

I just got my Black P3D Premium Q5 from the Fenix-Store in the mail today. For some reason I decided to go with the Q5 instead of the RB100. So far it has exceeded my expectations. This light is the brightest thing I've ever seen in a hand held flashlight. I was worried that I might not like the reverse-clickie button, but I really like it a lot. My only complaint so far is that it isn't dark yet! :D
