Recommend me a new folder that...

Thanks for your help.. I managed to locate it!! Fantastic... will most definitely be up there in my consideration.

2. Has blade length of about 3-4 inches (not particular about blade shape but spear point or drop point or modified spear or drop point would be good)

3. Handle length of about 4-4.75 inches max (preferred length would be about 4.3 thereabouts)

Don't most one-handers need about a handle of about 1.25 inches longer than the blade? Some models are a little longer (Military at 1.5 inches) and some a little shorter (710 at 1.0 inches). I'm just saying it would be really rare to fit a 4 inch blade in a 4.75 handle or a 3 inch blade in a 4 inch handle.

Spyderco sprint run military in BG 42 was mentioned and I would say its a great choice.

not within his $120 budget though. but i love that bg42 milie for camp chores....

Tetsusaiga - why do you want a tool steel? it's not easy to maintain it in the tropics. They do develop a patina and will rust if not careful.

Vg10 is better...

I know spyken... :D just curious as to how much better it will be...

My BR and Browning tanto in 1095 still doing fine thus far after a couple of months with little to no mantainence so am keeping my fingers crossed..:)

You might try a balisong. a 32 and 41 both come in D2 and have the toughest lock of them all. Otherwise, the 910 is a pretty good choice, although it's a liner lock.

You can always get a D2 griptillian.
