No worries. I tend to prefer to read the rules before I post anything at all. Generally a bad idea to start off a forum registration by breaking the rules and bringing yourself to the attention of the mods, right? Fortunately, this is a very casual sub-forum.
Give this a look: it's got links to the various general rules.

Also, good choice on the 16. That's a great blade. 10, 9, 16, RBK, and 5 are probably the mainstays of my collection.
Thanks. I honestly didn't think I was deal spotting, but I can see how it may have appeared that way to a few of you.
Here is what is posted in the FAQ link for
No deal spotting:
"Yes, we know you found a great price on the Ninja Disembowel 4000 at SuperPriceMART. We don't care. We'd prefer you support the dealers who support BladeForums.com.
As such, we don't allow deal spotting because otherwise the forums would be a quagmire of "deals" (real or imagined) posted everywhere, or unscrupulous people posting "deals" for non paying dealers. So don't do it."
The title of this thread is "Recommend me a vendor for purchasing a BK16", not "Jump on this great deal on a BK16!".
I really wanted to know which are good vendors to support which also provide a decent price. I have gotten that response from many of you and thank you very much for your help!
I have been a member of many forums both past and present in many different disciplines where posting a link like I did is not frowned upon so heavily.
I think I understand how my first post in this thread may have come across the wrong way to some of you and I apologize sincerely to those of you who assumed I was deal spotting.
I try to usually read all the rules, but obviously did not read every last one carefully enough before posting.
Although it may be somewhat presumptuous, I felt that my first posted thread would be received with a little more grace like I have experienced and imparted in the other forums I have been actively involved in for many years. I especially thought that BF would be even more gracious since I saw this in the FAQ, "First & foremost, remember the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself, in other words, BE NICE. When you are polite to people, they will tend to be polite back to you."
I really enjoy the postings I have seen in this forum and appreciate all the useful collaboration I have seen so far.
I am very excited to purchase BK16 in the near future and hope that I can be as useful and helpful as all of you have been thus far.
Thank you for welcoming me to BF!
