How about a Citizen EcoDrive? The EcoDrive is better than an automatic, IMO.

Got one of those. (Link) :o

It's a nice watch but I'm looking for something new. Never had an automatic so I'm looking for one. Though that Luminox 1828 is looking very tempting for a quartz watch.

Just get the Lum-Tec, we know that whats you're waiting for someone to say :p:thumbup:

Lum-Tec? I guess I could take a look at them.

*Wallet plots to murder me in my sleep*

Maybe later... :o

If you decide that you like a rotating uni-directional bezel, you can get a Seiko SKX-### (your choice) with a custom installed sapphire crystal for <$500.

If you're interested, and don't mind shopping around, you can find a older classic Omega Seamaster for that amount. I'm guessing Oris or Ball may have one up your alley as well.

Here's one place to keep an eye on:

Great link, thanks.

Right now I'm heavily considering a Luminox 1828 (trit illumination is a poor tradeoff for an automatic though) at around $300 and a Lum-Tec B3 at $700.

Those darn Lum-Tec's look so nice. :(

Tag Heuer might have what you want, but not sure the prices. The SLR sounds like it's what you're looking for. I had one a long time ago and that was an amazing watch. Super durable, accurate time, very hard to scratch the crystal, too. Go to www.tag-heuer.com.

please inform this clod what auto means. if not batt. do you mean self winding?
last time i had watch was 1961 longines wound by arm & body movement. no need to mention i'm a dinosaur , i know that. thanks dennis.

Automatic = Self winding mechanical. ;)

Hey Josh - did you check the Hamiltons??? How come you don't have one yet?

:D

I went, I saw, I'm looking for something a little less dressy per-se.

I'm thinking of selling off some knives () and getting one of the C2 Lum-Tec watches. Either that or installing a drool catcher on my computer and putting pictures up as my screen saver. :D
