So guys I'm looking to get a manual action flipper. I don't have a ton of cash 50$ preferred but I'll go as high as 100. I want a manual action out the box flipper. I know its easy to remove the torsion bar on Kershaws but I honestly don't want to be bothered. I also would like it to be 3.5 inch blade. This knife will just be edc really I won't be using it at work just for around the house small tasks.
What do you guys recommend?

Why not start with the Kershaw Skyline? It is a manual flipper, thin, lightweight, and will cost about $35.

If you can come down in size slightly, I'd highly recommend the CRKT Ripple. The action of it is astounding, it flips just as well as knives that cost almost ten times as much. Plus it comes in a few different flavors :D

Lots of people here like the Skyline a lot, but at least mine doesn't flip as well as others. My best non assisted flippers are the CRKT Ripple and Kershaw Ram.

+1 for Ripple you can get the liner lock version at lowes or walmart for less than $30 however you cannot go wrong with either the previously mentioned Ripple or the Skyline. I own both and although the Ripple with its IKBS bearing system is smoother the skyline is also a very nice knife for the money!

RAM for sure. I gave my Skyline to my wife, but the RAM is one of the absolute best manual flippers no matter the price range. My Spyderco Domino (~$200) is just as good if not better, but no other flipper I have owned or played with has had as good of a flipping action as the RAM. The Hawk lock is awesome. They are discontinued so I would jump on one.

-Note that is not the factory clip and I much prefer this Ti clip. Otherwise, the knife is awesome.

If you can find a Kershaw Ram, That's one of the best flippers I have ever seen, touched, or owned (I have 2!) Secondly I'd look at a Kershaw JYD 2.2, they are super smooth, has a D-2 cutting edge and el manuel! Thirdly, a Kershaw skyline in your choice of color is small, has good flipping action and is a great all arounder in the everyday use category. Check out Kershawguy in my signature he has some of the best prices around and is a super fast shipper.

The only flipper-knife I've been willing to buy in that size/price range is the Kershaw 1745 Ener-G II (photo from kershaw-knives.net):

It's discontinued but can still be found for ~$50 on the exchange or ebay from time to time. USA-made, G10-scales with steel liners, razor-blade steel that takes a very fine edge easily
It features "pseunetic®" opening. The 'flipper' is not part of the tang but a separate piece that also serves as the blade-stop. When depressed to deploy the blade, the flipper remains inside the handle rather than protruding as an excessive guard. Like most flippers, it is a liner-lock, but the novel flipper-design means that you won't get pinched by the flipper going back into the handle when you close the knife.

For a different blade-shape and no choil but similar flipper-design, there is the (also disco'd) 1775 OD-1:

For that price range I would agree with every one else and go with a Kershaw Skyline. Try to look for a cool limited model if you want it to be more special. Best thing about the skyline is it is not hard to replace and you can not go wrong for under $50. Made in USA too.
