I wanted a new Shirogorov but could not find who would sell them. Google turned up several places but all were outnof stock. I found Rusblade.com. A search here only had a few questions about who they were and one experience was reported. But I bit the bullet and went for it.

They have a good site with lots of images. Payment was easy and straight forward. It took 11 days to get from St. Petersburg, Russia to my home in Oregon. The tracking was a bit wacky. It moved quickly from rusblade to the airport and through export customs. And then it just stopped at the Airport. I wrote several emails to rusblade to find out what was going on and they answered each one within 12 hrs. Then it arrived in US Customs in Jamiaca,NY yesterday. I figured a week there but the it arrives here today.

The knives are expensive... but if I buy another new one.... these guys are ok.

Any more info on this now that you've had time to review it? Is it legit or clone? Any thoughts or comments? I see where the Neon is supposedly still available? Thanks, -Wade

This will be a pleasure for me to review Rusblades I collect ZT knives and as everyone knows there are many that are hard or impossible to find. Rusblade and I have done 3 transactions this summer all with great customer service, fantastic communication, and very happy endings to the transactions. I have bought ZT0095 and ZT0777BW, ZT0454d2 to name some of the models I have purchased. Items are mint condition when they arrive in 7-12 days. I wish companies in other transactions of ZT knives were as professional as the people at Rusblade. Do not hesitate to purchase from this company. I look forward to when I can purchase again from them and add some custom Russian knives to my collection. First though my want list of ZT, then the custom knives. Again buy with confidence from Rusblade.

And just for the record the site you are referring to is your knife retail site, correct?
I'm not usually on the same page with my fellow member marcinek, but I'm with him here if I judge the intent of his post correctly. My issue with Russian Woodstock for some time has been that he is clearly a representative of, if not a principal in, Rusblade.com, and given the nature of his postings on BF I believe he should pay the freight as a registered dealer here.

Shop Rusblade I can recommend.
Very good and helpful approach to the customer.
Immediate response to queries. I communicated with Illya.
The delivered goods corresponded to the description.

I recommend Rusblade.com as well. I recently bought 10+ Shiro and CKF knives from them. It's a great pleasure working with Ilya. He is always responsive to our email inquiries. All transactions went through smoothly. 4 packages arrived well packed. Will buy from rusblade.com and Ilya again. Actually, just put in one order this morning for 3 more knives.

FWIW, old thread...I've bought a couple new Shiros from Rusblade. Ditto on Ilya. These arrived in the exact same paper over wrap on the Shiro box as new Shiros from Recon1 I've purchased. Exactly the same paper, same wrap folds, same tape. Identical in all aspects. Makes me believe that overwrap is done by Shiro. When you break into the wrap, you're entering a region no hands have gone since leaving Shiro. Ultra grail production knife under that paper. Mine from Rusblade came packed inside a tupperware like bin to protect it. Russian overkill (wink).
Russia is slow to us. Jamaica NY (US entry) is the slow 1-3 weeks part, zero update customs/post office fiasco. Separate bureaucrats, PO and Customs. USPO receives, passes to Customs, once clears Customs pass back to PO. Neither knows where the other is in their processes. Rusblade gets package to export, and on the way to US in a day or two. You'll know within a few days that Jamica has received your package. By the time PO reports the package has left Jamaica the package is out for delivery in your neighborhood. Buy, try and forget it. In 3-6 or 8 weeks you'll be pleasantly surprised by what's at your front door.
In regard to OP...The hours/days is a lost in translation detail. In my correspondence w/ Rusblades, hours and days are interchangeable. You are free to write me or Ilya about what's going on in the Jamica black hole. If you write me I'll say 12 days, I guarantee it.
Shiro isn't upfront about authorized dealers, dollars to donuts Rusblades is one, delivers to US, and have models that sell out in minutes or only by lotto on Recon1, often for weeks longer. Rusblades isn't stupid, they are very aware of the market, expect to pay market price, just like fresh seafood and aged steaks in an elegant restaurant.
