Looking to get a new knife and would like some recommendations.

I am interested in an assisted-flipper, with a button lock. I would prefer titanium, but would look at other types of handle material. Needs to also have a good blade steel (premium such as M390 is preferred). Size preferred is around 3-3.5", but I can go above or below that.

The only one I could really find was the Kershaw Dimension. Has what I am looking for, but the look doesn't quite speak to me and I want a better quality blade steel.

I am also willing to look at other lock-types, but do not want a frame lock or liner lock (have plenty of those already).

I have looked at several non-assisted flippers, and really like some by Rod Olsen, but for this purchase I am looking for an assisted one, and would like to keep the price under $200 (but definitely willing to consider higher for a quality blade).

It's nice to see another assisted opening knife enthusiast around here, we are a rare breed.

Its not a button lock, but the Benchmade Amicus might be what you are looking for. It checks off almost all of your other requirements, assisted opening, premium blade steel (CPM-S90V), 3.2 blade length, and just barely over $200. The Amicus of the smoothest opening assisted folders I've ever used, and it has a spectacular blade shape with tons of belly.

Another in the same vein as the Amicus is the Benchmade Emissary (large), 3.5 inch blade length, assisted, S30V, and under $200. There is less belly on the blade of the Emissary and it is a bit heavier (Amicus 2.88oz vs Emissary 3.95oz) but they are comparable knives. Both have the same Benchmade deep-carry clip. Sadly, neither of these knives have titanium handles, just aluminum.

Best of luck finding your new knife, finding high quality assisted knives can be tricky.

Thanks for the recommendation. I had not seen the Amicus yet. I have a BM Barrage that I have had for several years and it is still in perfect working condition. Love the assist on it.

The Amicus looks great, but I do wish they had other options than black. Will definitely keep that one in mind though. Great start.
