What's your favourite EDC on washers?
Aside the well known CRK and Hinderer, do you have any other favourites? I am looking for something relatively solid/well built and preferably with a framelock. I wouldn't be asking if bladehq had an option between bearings and washers on their filter :p

Thanks!

You might consider the Massdrop/Laconico Keen (I do not own...yet), seems very stout or the Spyderco Military model c36tip (I own and love). The Spyderco is an awesome titanium frame lock. It’s a large knife so it’s not for everyone. Its also discontinued so I’d grab one before they’re all gone.

The Massdrop Laconico Keen I just got pivots on brass washers. It's very smooth but I don't think it's available anymore.

I second the zt 0850...its a really impressive knife extremely smooth and lightweight as well.and if you remove the thumb stud it works like a wave

Ahhh thanks guys. Ye I saw those laconico keen and was looking in them. Didn't realize they were on washers or would have been even more interested...I think the drop just ended. Looks like such a simple and nice knife. What a shame

And thanks jill and josh. The 0850 looks nice but a little strange looking for my tastes. However, possibly a good investment and worth sucking up if I cant find anything else.

I like the ZT on washers
A 0350 was my first real user knife
I still have ne. It can be de-assisted and works on washers

I have an old 0550 gen 3 also on washer which is great

My favorite is the 06x0 Emerson kine by ZT: framelock, washers, great manual operation, solid frame lock and great utilitarian blades

Check out the ZT Emersons. They just released a new one, the 640 (hasn’t hit store shelves yet but will soon.) There are two older ones too, the ZT620 and 630. (Bronze phospher washers)

Another great washer edc knife (teflon this time) is the Jim Burke Rockstar. Just an excellent knife with my only gripe being it is tip down only.

The DPX HEST 2.0 is on teflon washers and is a very good, albeit abit thick edc knife. Just be aware which HEST you get because some of the newer ones are on bearings I believe. (Btw this knife has some quirks so if you are considering getting it hit me up and I’ll go into more detail about that)

There is the Lionsteel SR1&2 in both Aluminum and Titanium integral framelocks.

I am amazed at how my Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2 flies open on washers. It will drop shut when the lock bar is released also. One of my favorites and is the knife that made me look more into washer knives.

Second on Spydiechef.

According to their website the Keen is on caged ceramic bearings. It is still on my list to get though.

I second the idea of a zt 550. I have a first production run that has seen me through some hard use.

My two personal favorites are very different, but very good.

1. Spyderco Vallotton. I've handled at least 4* of these, and each one was just smooth as butter.
2. Kershaw Echelon. Take the assist bar out, and you have an incredibly ergonomic and smooth folder.

The 850 is a knife that grows on you. I have come to covet mine.

The 630 is another solid choice. I'm thinking about picking up a 640 first of next year as well.
