Recommendation for Custom BM 810 Contego scales

So I just picked up a Contego 810 on the exchange and I'm interested in some custom scales. The blade was black, but one of the previous owners gave it a rough stonewash which gave it a totally awesome distressed look. I'm thinking of wood scales and I would love to get some ideas from BF members about types of wood I might use. Also, if it's permitted, I would appreciate some recommendations as to who might be able to make these for me. I'm sure there are guys on the forums who could easily do it, I just don't know who they are.
