Recommendation for good 4" fixed blade

Congrats!

I have only good experiences with BRK's in CPM 3V.

BRK Scandi in 3V+ custom sheath.

A very differrent animal than the Bravo 1, but one of my favorite BRK's.

Edit to add: I built this sheath with Chicago Screw bases embedded in the leather layers, so the sheath could be more flexible. The retention strap can easily be changed out or replaced in seconds. Although there is enough tension when sheathed to retain under most conditions without the strap.

That sheath looks awesome. You should be selling them.......

Well I ended up snagging a bark river bravo 1 in CPM 3v from a very nice guy here on the forum. I think it checks off every item in my checklist for durability, edge retention, size, and weight. It also comes with a sheath that looks like it will keep the knife lower than my kit which is perfect

Great choice! I love my Bravo 1, and the other Bark Rivers I own.

Fallkniven F1 might fit your needs. Light, great ergos, several choices of steel (nothing wrong with VG-10), a variety of sheaths available.
