Recommendation for slipjoint with a 'Nail File'

Wazu, nice...now that looks like an aggressive file.
Hickory, actually I've been thinking along those lines as well. Folded sandpaper stashed in my wallet? fingernail clipper file removed, contoured, and installed on my key ring? I'll check into the skateboard tape.

Just curious, is there an item on your keys that you could stick a piece of skateboard grip tape to without hindering it ?
This may not be a traditional and classy or elegant solution, but you would have a way to file your nails with zero noticeable change to your carry.
Along these lines, one blade on a multiple blade knife of your choice could be modified into a file.

You could also get one of those emory board nail files and cut it. They're made of thin wood or cardboard and cost less than $1

View attachment 795462 I have to say that as a picker and a grinner (banjo), that I much prefer a cut file to a “sandpaper” file. The cut file is faster and cleaner. The “sandpaper” file cuts (smears) in both directions while the cut file only cuts in one direction, but the results are much crisper with real teeth.

Bruckmanns are good nail-file knives, but I've seen them only in plastic (often if not always celluloid) and MOP. I discarded some lousy photos of my 3.25" and 3.5".

Another option might be a "Swiss Card". Has a file, and several other small tools, some even come with scissors.
Put that in your wallet, and carry whatever knife you want.

I had the swisscard lite, and while I loved it it eventually broke from my skinny ass sitting on it daily.
Ending up running through the laundry a free times didn't help either.
If one doesn't put their wallet in their back pocket I don't see a problem with them though.

Tiguy, you answered my question about file styles before I even got a chance to ask it. Thanks all for the suggestions.

Yeah, I just keep mine in the car (also skinny, and carry skinny wallet).

If you are serious about a nail file, get a file. I have never seen a knife blade that could do the job. I do have some great files and if you need a recommendation, send me a pm.
