Thank you very much for all your recommendations. NMFBM, NMSFNO, SOB, Basic 11 ….they are all sounds good.
Although I am little bit confused, I am leaning toward the satin ASH1 as it is more iconic and easy to carry compare to others.
But to be honest, the satin NMSFNO looks very attractive, too. Regarding the NMFBM, I also like it very much, it looks indestructible chopper, but I afraid that customs may not let in my country (Cyprus)!!!
In this respect, I wish to live in US. Anyway, I still have to study customs restrictions. Maybe I can find a way!!!

Yea I used to own one . . . Never got around to using it though, so I sold it and got an NMFBM instead. It's a hell of a knife though . . . I'd be happy to snag one of it comes around on the exchange again! Cheers!

As to specifically your question ---- no I honestly don't think anything can properly substitute for the FFBM. Although in the 9 inch category the Fatty NMFSH reigns supreme!
