Recommendation? Quality Binoculars

Try a Leupold Mojave 10X42 before you decide. Excellent quality and performance for the money, made in Japan.

They are made by Kamakura Koki Co., Ltd, a Japanese company with manufacturing in China (Malaysia and Korea too). Kamakura Koki makes binoculars badged with many company names/logos. Are you sure the Mojaves are actually made in Japan? There's a reason Leupold often makes it difficult to determine some of their products' country of origin, especially when shopping on the net. I'd rather a company just be totally open about it. The Fujinon the OP settled on and got are likely a Kamakura Koki product.

They are good quality with a lifetime warranty...., wherever they were made.
Limited lifetime warranty. It's Leupold's gold ring products that have the Full Lifetime Guarantee warranty, the best warranty in the business. It's their Gold Ring products that are designed, machined, assembled, and tested in the USA and so carry their famous Full Lifetime Guarantee. The lenses, though designed at the Leupold optics lab, are procured from non-USA vendors because Leupold states no American manufacturer can produce lenses of high enough quality.

The no questions asked Full Lifetime Guarantee in action: a friend of mine found a Leupold gold ring scope buried in the muck of a creek. He rinsed them off and sent them to Leupold explaining how and when he found the scope. Leupold returned a new scope to him.

My experience with Vortex Optics has been really good. I have a Vortex Solo R/T Monocular that works really well. A friend has the same one and he also has a pair of the Binoculars which he likes. Another friend uses some of their scopes on his Rifles and he has been happen with them.

I can't recommend models of Binoculars because I don't use them. Am blind in one eye so I only use Monoculars. Good luck with your search.

I think Leupold makes a great product, they have a great warentty, too. I like companies that stand behind their products in that way.
Although there are few, anymore, that do that, they are not the only one out there.
Eagle optics also has a pretty good warranty.
unlimited, unconditional, transferable and all that.

Granted, I have not personally had to use either one, but have heard the stories.

For those who wear glasses , Eye Relief, is significant .The Fujinon is only 12mm. Some others are up to about 19mm .That's what glasses wearers should look for . Any suggestions for the Long Eye Relief type ?

Go to eagleoptics.com and look at their info on things like binocular eye relief.

I actually prefer the Leupold.

I had Stiener 8X30 military marine, and a pair of Leupold 7X30 com acts over the past 30 some years. As much as I liked the Steiners, the Leupold gave a crisper image in low light or misty cloudy days. They proved more rugged in the long run. Last year when my Steiners took a bump and the barrels got knocked out of whack, and they were out of Warrantee (30 year limit.) I replaced them with Leupld Rogue 8 powers. Better image, more compact, and less price tag with lifetime warrantee.

About 20 years ago, I bought Steiners for the better half, and they've been back for repair twice under warrantee. I've been very impressed with Leupold products.
