Recommendations: 3"ish fixed blade, 7" OAL, lt. to med. duty, pocketable perhaps?

I'm a small fixed blade maniac. Here's some that range in size from 5 1/4" to 7 1/4". Sorry, it's not the best picture for sure. But it's a snapshot of some of what is out there.

Left to right: Eldon Talley City Knife, Bud Nealy "Little David", Burt Foster Utility, Don Cowles, Mace Vitale Utility, Bud Nealy Small Aikuchi, Tom Krein "Micro Chef", Tom Krein "Scandi PSK", Greg Lightfoot Dress Companion XJ. I have more too. When I started looking I got a little scared .....

If you want details on any of them I'd be happy to post them. Good luck in your quest!

Brian... that Bushbaby looks great... just the kind of knife I'm thinking of.

One more aspect that I think would make for great convenience... a very lean, trim, minimalist kydex sheath that doesn't require any snaps or straps... allowing one handed pull and replace, and small enough to easily fit in a pants pocket. Suggestions on this?

Sorry I missed this post. Here's a couple of Bud Nealy's that come with a kydex sheath. They can ride in the pocket and also come with various clips and gadgets that allow for a number of different carry options.

You also might want to consider a leather pocket sheath for whatever fb you choose:

I decided to try out a few knives, thanks to your recommendations. I ordered a custom from JK which I'm really excited about.. I asked him to make his Riverwoods Companion but with the handle having a much more pronounced down turn fore and aft... to encase the hand front and back a little more. Can't wait for that.

And I guess I must be the last guy here to try an Izula, but I received an Izula II today and without having even cut anything, I can say this really is an impressive little knife... perfect for pocket carry, very well made. I can now clearly see why the Izzy is so very popular. I also got Buck Bucklite Small at the local Wholesale Sports and man, for the money, even not for the money this economical Buck is a wonderful knife.

Eskabar, Frost Clipper, and Boker Plus Tom Krein Pocket Bowie will round out my small fixed blade line up for a while.

I don't know why it took me so long to wake up to fixed blades (vs folders) but I'm wide awake now and love these knives!

harkamas.... thanks for the suggestions... very nice looking knives...
