Recommendations for an EDC folder with <2.5" blade?

My types:
- Kershaw OD-2 - imho good knife, with quick deployement and solid feel
- Kershaw Zing would fit your expectations, but has 3" blade :thumbdn:
- Boker Subcom - zyliards of variations, quite cheap, quite nice quality. Subclaw with hawkbill blade cuts like insane :D

Personally I'd stay away from the SS handles in Spydies. Used to have Dragonfly SS. Decent knife overall, but with SS handles it was horribly heavy for its size, not to mention about slippy grip...

Good luck in your search Scott ;)

Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Lava
Spyderco Poliwog (G-10)
Bladetech Ratel
Bladetech Mouse
Sog Bluto (arch lock & assisted)

Good luck.

If you have a Gander Mountain nearby check out their Gander Mountain marked Browning with G10 scales.

It came out of the package about as sharp and evenly ground as any knife I have and has a roughly 2 1/4" blade that is hollow ground pretty high up.

It is a Thumb Stud liner lock.

Only real nit to pick is it clips tip down with a touch over 3/4" up out of pocket.

Since I can carry bigger knives it will not make main rotation, but is a solid value in a short blade.

I also have to comply with Title 18USC Section 930 ever day. Heres what I have carried to work over the last 13 years. SS Dragonfly PE, Cricket PE, Kershaw ScallionPE, Buck55, Fallkniven U2, SOG Blink, Buck stockman,Kershaw Chive, Spyderco Pro-Venator even carried a Simonich Bitteroot and a Atwood TT a couple of times. Hope this helps you choose. All of these have served me well. Also always have a Leatherman Micra on my keys.

AG Russell used to make a small version of their 'One Hand' knife and there may still be some around. I have one with a 2.5" blade in ATS34. A very nice little knife.
Another possibility - again out of production, but I just bought one LNIB - is the Benchmade 332 AGR. This has a 2.5" blade in 154CM, G10 scales over Ti framelock. With a clip.

Both knives measure 2.5" from blade tip to frame. I prefer either one to my Chive, Scallion or mini Mojo
