I apologize to Mods if this is not posted in the correct area.

I'm looking for recommendations for good shops or maybe particular gun shows that usually have quality knife vendors in the DFW area. Any good experience or guidance is much appreciated. I'd prefer to build a relationship with someone local instead of always going online to feed my knife addiction, even if I spend a few more bucks here and there.

Thanks in advance!

Not many local, small knife retailers...Ray's Sporting Goods on Singleton is pretty good but they do not have a huge selection and the there are couple of guys that make the Market Hall and Big Town/Mesquite shows but they are mostly custom makers, James Ivy of Kousins Kustoms is a good guy and sells some higher end production folders with his NICE custom made knives. The guys at House of Blades in far West Fort Worth are pretty customer friendly but full retail in their pricing. I will post later if I think of any others.

Knife shop in Plano at the WillowBend Mall. (Cutlery Collection) Personally know the owner. He's been in business in DFW since 1979. Has huge selection of custom knives and all major brands. I started smearing up his showcases when I was a kid decades ago. They know knives and surely know how to sharpen as well!

There is a pretty big knife shop on 820 over in ft worth too. Absurd prices but you can fondle and then order from someone closer in touch with reality.
