I like that shortened resilience. Probably lose a little bit more weight also and makes the tip more durable. Spyderco should make that.I also carry right rear pocket, tip down. I carry a Resilience Lightweight with S35VN blade steel, which I modded to have a Millie style "modified clip point" blade shape, and reground very thin. In my left cargo pocket is another Resilience, modded to have a shorter leaf shaped blade, also reground super thin. And my Tenacious S35VN, also modified, is my main around the house knife.

There are pros and cons to the various methods of carry. Most people seem to prefer tip up for the right front pants pocket, but not everybody carries that way.Tip-up makes a lot of sense in a right pants pocket. This has led to a lot of people and a lot of companies to believing that the debate is settled. Unfortunately, that's not the reality.
