Recommendations for my first Spyderco

Being my first Spyderco and the first G-10 I've handled I noticed the pattern does not match on both scales, this is not a complaint as it registers very low on the bothered scale but interesting none the less.

The pattern is finer on one side. Is this normal with the Para-Military and G10 Spyderco's in general? anyone else notice this?

I don't think my camera's up to picking up that level of detail, but mine appears the same on both sides. But, depending on how the light hits, it sometimes looks different - but both sides do it.
