Recommendations for new knife

Anything with Axis locking is VERY easy to close. Maybe a 710? Might push your price point a few bucks but it's a good knife Or just get another griptillian. What are you using the knife for on a 12 foot ladder? Maybe just get a multi-tool? Leatherman waves are like 50-55 shipped on ebay.

You should probably not lose the knives though...then you could have a REAL nice one. I keep mine clipped to my pocket at all times never leaves my side. I've owned 15-20 different knives in my life or so and never lost a single one.

Up on the ladders it's mostly plastic strapping and cardboard. My old one had serrations but I didn't end up using them anyway. I'm not a big fan of multitools as I never use 90% of the stuff they put on them.

After having this Spyderco Honeybee for the day, it's occured to me that the only real reason my Victorinox Soldier (and SAKs in general) annoy me is because nail grooves are horrible. I can easily and safely close it one handed, but even two handed opening is awful. One handed would be out of the question.

How about a slipjoint folder that has either thumbstuds or an opening hole? Like my Honeybee, only in normal size. Incidentally I can't one hand open it either, (it's probably possible just hard) but for its intended purpose I don't care.
