recommendations needed for binoculars...

I don't recommend buying binos online. They need to "fit" you if they are to be used comfortably. Wear them around your neck for a while to see if they start getting heavy. See how easily/quickly you can put them up to your eyes and focus them at various distances. They should have a good "fit and feel". After narrowing down to a couple of models, buy the one that fits you best - regardless of the cost - you will have them for many years and you will never regret your choice.

I asked exactly the same question on another forum. The answer I got was that the BCA series has rubber armoring on the housing, whereas the BC series has a leather finish.
