Hello. I'm somewhat new to collecting. I have a Fallkniven WM1 in 3G and a Survive 4.1 on the way. Please help me with sharpening tool recommendations. Something fairly easy to use. Also home and field use.

Thank you.

Home: Spyderco Sharpmaker, diamond rods, strop, sharpie marker.

Field: DMT double sided folding sharpener (1 side course, other extra course), Spyderco ceramic pocket sharpener, pocket sized strop.

There are lots of videos on Youtube explaining how to use the above tools. I like the Sharpmaker because it's easy to use but you do need the diamond rods because it's slow going on the provided rods and it's the same with the Spyderco pocket sharpener, you need the extra course diamond sharpener to really remove metal.

I don't know if the Fallkniven is a convex or v grind, so that might change things, like going to a sandpaper setup.

I use many different sharpening systems at home but almost exclusively use the field tools I listed.
