ok fellas..ive been getting great advice from you lot..heres the thing..im still totally baffled on what to buy next !! i have 2 case knives (a trapper and a large hunter) and i got $80 burning a hole in my pocket this week, what should i get next !! i carry all my knives btw so at this point no safe queens :)
thanks in advance

I'd recommend you expand your horizons a bit and grab a nice stockman pattern. (Unless you have an issue with three bladed knives.)

Otherwise, a Texas Jack (stockman frame, two blades) would be a nice compromise.

I'm with Blues. A nice large Stockman or a medium stockman...or to switch it up a bit, about the same size as a medium stockman, but look at a whittler pattern. Still 3 blades, but a bit more unique, IMHO.

I'll suggest a Schatt & Morgan swell center whittler,or coke bottle
These are in smooth bone & can be seen on line, from thier new series I'd recommend collectorknives. net ,Mike is great to deal with
These are two nice pocket knives, pretty sure the $80 covers one

A knife nut isn't a knife nut without a Case Stockman. Have a look at the Chestnut Bone and Amber Bone CV lines. The Canoe pattern in must have as well.
While your at collectorknives browse through the Great Eastern knives too.

Another,to consider The Case humpback.A whittler or a stockman The G-10 certainly looked good & it'd be a great user

Two Case Sodbuster Jr's. One in stainless and one in CV. Yellow medium stockman in CV is a great choice too. If you shop around you may get all three for roughly $80:thumbup:

I gotta go with Elliott on the Texas Jack  but then again I'm partial to 2 bladers... The medium size 62032 is a great knife, if'n you want something a little bigger the 6292 is a good choice as well...

My other personal favorite is the mini-trapper.
Even though it shares the name with its bigger brother that you already have, they are completely different knives. Very comfortable in hand, easy on the pocket and they have half stops on the blades :D

All of the above recommendations are great. I would also think about one of the GEC Northfield Barlows.

How about something a bit unusual?

Harness Jack, Schatt do them in carbon or stainless, there's something about a punch blade to set the pulse racing!

You could try a Muskrat it's perhaps a bit overlooked and I'm waiting for my first couple. An RR had to go back with a cracked scale(dealer's fault for not checking it out before sending)which was to be the 'tester' for the pattern. Then I got a good offer on a Queen Cut in Amber Bone so that's on its way too.

I love these kind of threads.
I get to spend your $80!

$80 will get you 3 classics.

All Case in Yellow delrin and CV (carbon)
A Stockman, Peanut, and a Slimline trapper or Soddie.

These are a classic set of slippies at their simplest and perhaps best.

I say get either a yella/cv soddie junior, or a yella/cv medium stockman and spend the rest of the money on beer! :D

This time buy for looks and the next buy for fancy steel.....then you can put them both together for the fourth time.....after than buy what you want....
300Bucks

If I had it to burn, I'd be all over a Case humpback whittler. Probably black G-10 scales, but maybe not. I sure wish they made them is CV.

How 'bout a Senator Pattern?
