Just made a puukko with a Lauri blade, and am very pleased with my first attempts at both a birch bark handle and peening. Now I'd like to up my game.
Can't complain about the quality of the Lauri blade, but I'd like to do the next one with something that looks a little less plain. I've got some 4 mm bronze for bolsters and a stack of birch bark squares waiting.
Any recommendations for a worthy blade? One requirement: it's gotta be a size to fit a ready-made Nordic-stlyle sheath, and the only ones I'm aware of are those made by the Ramakko family.
