Thank you for the advice! What type of grease do you recommend? When you stay it isn't permanent, do you mean you can clean it off and reapply over time, or that it wears off and the rattle returns?

Almost any grease should work I would imagine.

I use red bearing grease from the auto parts store. Works great on folder pivots and firearms too.

I've never actually had to reapply the grease, so it seems to stay in place. (It could migrate during extreme heat, but I've never experienced that.) Seems to be a permanent fix in my experience. I put a bit in the hole and also coat the pin. Problem solved.

I used Aeroshell 33MS / 64 grease. Worked a treat.

Would say blue, as the red may be too much
