I use red bearing grease from the auto parts store. Works great on folder pivots and firearms too.
I've never actually had to reapply the grease, so it seems to stay in place. (It could migrate during extreme heat, but I've never experienced that.) Seems to be a permanent fix in my experience. I put a bit in the hole and also coat the pin. Problem solved.
