Recon this will chop.

This is a picture of the first blade I ever forged.I forged it from an old truck spring.It's 16" OA with a 10" blade that is 2" wide at it's widest point and 1/4" thick. It has a convexed edge and is shaving sharp.

The handle is polished elk.I removed all the pith and filled it entirely with Accuraglass.

Sorry for the bad pictures.White seems to be hard to capture.

Looks good and stout. Some of the best knives I've seen were made from leaf springs.

I have an Allen Blade Combat Patrol Bowie that has a 10" blade of 5160. The handle is different, but it is vary similar. I also convexed it and its scary sharp. It is a real good chopper also.
