Who's the maker of that sword?

The sword was made in my shop from S7, RC 57. It is part of my Bright Knight series.

That's awesome! Congratulations!

Thanks Wade. That swing felt great. If it doesn't go all the way through then it really wrenches this old man.

Awesome work!

For some reason I didn't make the connection with the website in your sig and you signing your posts. :footinmou

I saw your work at the Vegas Classic (and Knife Expo IIRC) and I loved it! There was a sword you had there that almost won an award there in Vegas that I fell in love with. Shame I didn't have the money...it is probably long gone by now...

AWesome clip.

And great looking swords, I have always enjoyed your site. Those are absolutely amazing blades. My current sword savings is at 170 dollars...I have a ways to go, but I WILL but one of your swords.

Impressive!

Who held the previous record(s)?

The most freestanding vertical wara previously cut appears to be 8. I expect that someone will outdo the 9 mat cut soon enough.

As to who is who... Who are you?

I have one comment and, if I may, one question. Your fantasy pieces are gorgeous, simply magnificent! But what do you do to your rapiers to arrive at over three pounds for swept-hilts and over five pounds for a cup hilt?

So I take it this is simply your personal record; not a national or world record?

Again I like to know with whom I am speaking. You seeem to have no trouble dirtying other peoples names yet consistantly refuse to identify yourself. Why is that?
[/qoute]

Exactly how is my name relivant to either the mat cutting record or my opinion of Ed Fowler and R. W. Clark?

How would it matter if my name was say Carl J. Baker? Would you be able to cut an extra mat if my name was Bob L. Fife?

hmm, I don't see why his name matters either. But I think nhamilto40's assesment in the previous thread about certain makers is essentially correct. At least IMO.

Well, he said this in his firs post:

"We believe 9 mats to be a new world's record."

So I would take that as being a world's record and not his personal record. :D

I have just been informed that someone else (that chooses to remain nameless) has claimed a 10 that is thicker and harder than my 9 1/2.

So I am relegated to a personal best.

Still a neat cut. I don't like katana's much but I like all swords that perform well. As they are suppose too. Still would have been neat to see it live. Did you make the sword? Also very cool. Lot of work.
