Well all my knives bar two are recurves, my own model that i had custom built (smaller than yours) and then my HI khukri and the two little blades that came with it are also recurves, I like recurves, gives you a little more blade in a smaller package, great for chaopping, slightly less weight with no real strength sacrifce, they are a little harder to sharpen but practice takes care of that, plus doen right and they are damn SEXY!
