Forged from 52100 high carbon steel. I prefer 52100, when it is properly heat treated ,for it's edge holding and sharpness
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to produce a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind finished to 400 grit with forged texture on the flats.
Professionally stabilized (K&G) ambrosia maple handle with black Micarta spacers. I semi flatten and indent the handle at the two smalles fingers producing a palm swell for an extremely comfortable handle.
Overall length: 13 1/4 inches
Blade: 8 1/4 inches
Oiled leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry. The loop is large enough to use on a gun belt.
